Reversing the curve: a case report on managing reversed cervical lordosis with physical therapy

This case report highlights the role of physical therapy in managing reversed cervical lordosis with disc bulges. A 63-year-old male patient with severe cervical pain and MRI-confirmed multi-level disc bulges was treated using TENS, ultrasound, manual therapy, cervical traction, and home-based exercises. After four sessions, the patient experienced a marked reduction in pain and improved cervical mobility. The findings support the clinical value of physical medicine and rehabilitation in such complex cases, while stressing the need for further research to establish standardized treatment protocols.
